Do Not Fear Only Believe

In this powerful sermon, Chachi walks through Mark 5:21–43, where Jesus encounters two desperate people: Jairus, a respected synagogue leader whose daughter is dying, and a woman who had suffered for 12 long years with no relief.

Both stories remind us of something deeply personal: pain does not care about position, status, or appearances. Jairus falls at Jesus’ feet in desperation, begging Him to come quickly. But on the way, Jesus stops for a woman hidden in the crowd — a woman who believed, “If I can just touch His robe, I will be made well.”

To the woman, the interruption was mercy. To Jairus, it felt like a painful delay.

Then the worst news comes: “Your daughter is dead.”

But Jesus speaks into Jairus’ fear with these words: “Do not fear, only believe.”

This message reminds us that Jesus is never frantic, never absent, and never late. Even when the delay feels costly, even when hope seems foolish, and even when everyone else says it is over — Jesus is still in the room. The storm obeyed Him. Demons obeyed Him. Disease obeyed Him. And even death obeys His voice. If you are walking through fear, grief, waiting, disappointment, or a season that does not make sense, this sermon is a reminder to stay close to Jesus. Faith is not pretending everything is fine. Faith is refusing to walk away from Jesus when you do not understand what He is doing. Key Scripture: Mark 5:21–43

Main Message: Delay is not abandonment. Jesus is still moving, even when He seems slow. Challenge: Do not hand your hope over to fear. Stay near Jesus.
